Yasmeen Saab
I am a third-year architecture student at the University of Houston, and an artist as well. I love painting, especially with acrylic paint, and sketching is one tool that helps me have ideas for my paintings. I am originally from Iraq, and architecture and art are significant back home, and that was one reason that let me choose my major. Being the only person in my family studying architecture is very challenging since I did not know much about the major. Still, growing up, I was always fascinated by the beauty of buildings and their spatial qualities.
