I was born in the United States on September 14, 1997. My dad is from Guatemala and my mom from Bolivia, I stay close to my roots. In high school, I found my love for architecture through architects who inspired me. I studied at Montgomery College for 2 years. While I was taking architecture classes I was also involved with the women’s soccer team. At one point I was the #3rd goalie in the nation for D-3 and lead my team to nationals. Soon after I walked out with an associate degree. After Montgomery College, I decided to apply to the University of Maryland, and to my surprise I was accepted. I loved the environment, the students, and the professors. I joined an organization called the American Institute of Architecture Students. This then lead to me becoming president and enhancing my leadership, design, and service skills, as well as inspire others to join and enhance their skills. Later, I completed two years and received my bachelor’s degree in architecture. One of the most expensive pieces of paper I own. Then I took the risk to apply for the graduate program, and with my hard work I got in. I am currently working at a firm called DNC Architects, Inc. My goal is to become a licensed architect!
